Isla Roatan (Honduras) is a beautiful island with a mountain in the middle. The roads are barely wide enough for one car. The bus we were on was going about 50 mph and whipping around curves with just a honk to tell others to move out of our way. Terrifying.

Cozumel is a small island off the coast of Cancun, Mexico. The side toward the mainland is heavily developed. The other side is desolate.

This road runs along the shore for about ½ the perimeter of the island. The other section of the island (about 1/3) apparently has no roads. This is the Caribbean Sea.

These were taken at the Seaquarium in Miami. A fun place to spend a day. Not what I expected--it's mostly shows, not exhibits.

Notice the heart shape in the necks of the two flamingos!

I love iguanas. There’s also an iguana in my Deep Ones novel.

I think this killer whale’s name was Lolita, or something like that. When no one else was around, she spoke to me and told me her name was really Willzyx and that she was from the Moon.

Me and a new friend (double-yellow-headed Amazon parrot) at Altun Ha. I look like such a weirdo. I love this picture! It's so ME.

How the hell did they get the car up there on all those containers? We passed this ship while leaving Miami on the Paradise.

Ice Dragon from the midnight buffet on the Paradise.

The Paradise: the only non-smoking cruise ship in the world. Our home away from home for seven days.

Sunset from the ship’s deck. The sun says goodbye, and so do I. No more pictures to share online!
